1 oz Cognac or Brandy
1 oz Creme de Cacao
1 oz Heavy Cream
Garnish: Cocoa Powder
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake and strain into a chilled coupe. (Optional) Dust with cocoa powder for garnish.
The Brandy Alexander the perfect dessert cocktail. Rich, chocolatey, and filled with the warming vanilla notes of a nice brandy, it is sure to satisfy your after dinner sweet tooth.
I like to dust mine with cocoa powder, but the traditional recipe calls for freshly grated nutmeg. It's up to you to decide which one you use.
